Population Services International (PSI)
Since 2009, MANCO has proudly served as a licensed manufacturing partner of Population Services International (PSI) in producing WATERGUARD/SUR EAU, a specially-formulated water treatment solution. This innovative product offers an affordable and effective method for improving access to safe drinking water for rural households and communities across Liberia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone.
MANCO continues to support PSI’s initiatives, including its partnership with Global Communities (formerly CHF International), by producing WATERGUARD/SUR EAU as part of their Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program funded by USAID.
Together, we are committed to enhancing public health and improving lives through sustainable solutions. This commitment played a key role across Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone during the Ebola outbreak in 2014. MANCO supported the emergency response by producing millions of bottles of WaterGuard and Sur Eau for distribution as a component of the WASH Package of the ministries of health across the various countries.
Disease Control (CDC)
PSI has a longstanding partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, for the identification, sampling, testing, and evaluation of high-quality manufacturers to produce WaterGuard and Sur Eau as household water treatment solutions. In 2009, MANCO underwent this rigorous process, which included an assessment of its production process and extensive sampling and testing. Every six months, samples of WATERGUARD/SUR EAU were shipped to CDC and repeatedly tested and certified by the CDC for efficacy. MANCO consistently met all sampling and testing requirements, leading to its selection by the CDC as a high-quality manufacturer of the household water treatment solutions branded as Sur Eau and WaterGuard in West Africa.
UNICEF
MANCO has a Long Term Agreement (LTA) with UNICEF Liberia and the Ivory Coast for the purchase of Hygiene Supplies such as CLORA, WATERGUARD/SUR EAU and All-Purpose soap.
